Barbara Jane Medlin
August 3, 1938 — February 21, 2026

Barbara Jane Medlin, age 87 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Ridgewood Manor Health & Rehabilitation of Dalton.

Barbara was born on August 3, 1938 in Loris, South Carolina, daughter of the late Lawrence H. Medlin and Ruby Ellen Williams Medlin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by: her sister, Ann Sendgikoski; sister-in-law, Pat Medlin; and two grandsons, Micah Burch and Jacob Krummert. Barbara worked as a Registered Nurse and later as a Deputy Sheriff in Cobb County. She enjoyed crafting and cheering on the Braves. Above all, Barbara cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by: her three sons, Joseph (Renee) Krummert, Robert (Nicole) Krummert, and Brett (Tamara) Krummert; step-son, Nick (Teresa) Ferguson; two daughters, Lisa French and Alana (John) Boyer; brother, Phil Medlin; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren;

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 2 PM until 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

A celebration of the life of Barbara will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend George Gray officiating. Inurnment will follow in Chandler Cemetery.
