    WHEN
    For the first Cold Weather Advisory, from 4 AM to 10 AM EST this morning. For the second Cold Weather Advisory, from 8 PM this evening to 9 AM EST Tuesday.
    IMPACTS
    Wind chills from 5 to 15 above across much of north and portions of Middle Georgia are expected with wind chills as cold as 0 in the north Georgia mountains. Avoid prolonged exposure if possible and have a safe heating source, particularly for those who may be experiencing power outages.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Mr. Bobby Allen Nabors, 56, of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN, following a period of declining health.

He was born in Dallas, Texas, on April 20, 1969, the son of Betty Ann Nabors and the late David Eugene Nabors.Prior to failing health, Mr. Nabors was employed in the carpet industry.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Tina Joann Pack Nabors; two daughters, Stephanie (Michael) Johnson, Amber Nabors, all of Calhoun; one granddaughter, Isabella Marie Johnson; three brothers, Danny Nabors of North Carolina, David (Tammy) Nabors of Dallas, Texas, Daniel Nabors of Waco, Texas, and Billy Talley of Calhoun; sister, Jennifer Talley of Calhoun; Brother and sisters-in-law, Troy (Rhonda) Pack, and Geraldine Pack along with other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Allen Nabors will be held on Wednesday, January 21st, at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Sanford officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Chapel Cemetery with Michael Johnson, Billy Talley, Lamar Turner, Joe Joe, Blu Poole, Little Cliff, and Bobby Bradley serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 20th, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and from 10:00 am until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
