Bobby Hall

Mr. Bobby Edward Hall, age 79, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Hall was born on May 14, 1946, in Calhoun, Georgia, the son of the late Ruben Randolph Hall and Mildred Irene Wallace Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Evelyn Davidson Hall, and his brother-in-law, Trey Weaver.

A proud United States Army veteran, Bobby faithfully served his country for two years during the Vietnam War. Through his military service, he embodied sacrifice, discipline, and perseverance—qualities that defined his life and work. He devoted more than 50 years to the transportation and logistics industry and worked alongside his family in lifelong farming operations at Hall Brothers Produce. His leadership extended into educational governance, where he served as a dedicated member of the Calhoun City School Board for 30 years. Bobby viewed his service on the board as a calling, taking great joy in helping students succeed and watching generations of young people grow and thrive.

A man of deep and abiding faith, Bobby was unwavering in his commitment to sharing the Gospel and living out Christian principles. He was a member of North Side Church of Christ and was actively involved in his community through the Jaycees and the Republican Club. In high school, he participated in FFA, reflecting his lifelong love for agriculture and gardening.

Bobby never met a stranger. He was known for his warm spirit, steady character, and steadfast integrity. In an ever-changing world, he stood firm in his convictions and became synonymous with service, honesty, and educational advocacy throughout Gordon County. Through his work in farming, he helped feed his community physically, and through his faith and example, he nourished many spiritually. Above all, he loved his God and his family—nothing was more important to him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Cathy Ann Thurman Hall of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Keith Dixon, Letha Ingram aal of Calhoun, GA, Nita and Lamont Young of Eton, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Kelly Ingram of Calhoun, GA, and Jonathon Ingram of South Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Angie Hall of Calhoun, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Linda and Gary Mize of Haleyville, Alabama, and Susan Weaver of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Sam Dixon, Annsley Ingram, Bailynn Ingram, Griffen Ingram, Joshua Humphree, and Reggie Humphree; and four great-grandchildren, Josie Elijah, Reese and Harrison, all of whom he loved dearly and a special aunt, Ann Hall Mathis of Calhoun, GA; several nieces and nephews

Services to celebrate Mr. Hall’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2026, at North Side Church of Christ with Minister Kent Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

The family will also receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel, Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

He will be laid to rest at Chandler Cemetery with Keith Dixon, Sam Dixon, Jamon Hall, Ruben Hall, Judson Mize, and Eli Hall honored to serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sonoraville High School Phoenix Baseball Team.
