Boland Emmett Williams, 85, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025. He was born in Ringgold, Georgia, on November 21, 1939, to the late Leonard and Sarah Boland Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Max Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gail Causby Williams; daughter, Kelly Kitchens of Calhoun, Georgia; sister, Retha Williams of Rome, Georgia; granddaughter, Sarah Kitchens of West Palm Beach, Florida.
Boland was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hike and had backpacked all across the South, as well as many western states. He also enjoyed camping and canoeing, and he loved to spend time with his family and friends. He retired from Bowater Paper Corp after 34 years of service.
To honor his wishes, his body was cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
