    EFFECTIVE
    This Monday afternoon and evening from 530 PM until 1100 PM EDT.
    THREATS
    Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible
    SITUATION
    A cluster of strong to severe thunderstorms will move east into the Watch area late this afternoon and into the evening. Strong to severe gusts (55 to 65 mph) occurring with the more intense downdrafts will be capable of wind damage. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles southwest of Chattanooga TN to 80 miles east of Chattanooga TN.     PRECAUTIONS
    A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce tornadoes.

Brenda Carleen Williams
November 15, 1952 - April 3, 2025

Brenda was born in Rome, GA, November 15, 1952, daughter of the late Joseph Dallas Smith and Mildred “RV” Hight Smith. She was also greeted in Heaven by her grandson, Noah Cole, granddaughter, Taylor Hammonds, great-granddaughter, Lennon Hammonds, sister, Imogene “Jean” Chastain, and brother, Kenny Smith. Brenda was a talented seamstress with the ability to sew any and everything. She found joy in sewing costumes for her grandchildren, who always received the best costume awards. She attended Adairsville Church of God and retired from the textile industry. Brenda was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her memory will be cherished by the ones she loved.

Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Fred Williams; daughters, Kristy Hammonds and Missy Cole and her husband Britt; son, Lamar Williams; grandchildren, Brady Hammonds and his wife Ashley, Austin Hammonds, Brittney Cole, and Taylor Williams; great-grandson, Jensen Hammonds; uncle who was more like a brother, Clinton Hight; aunt, Betty Jean Evans; sister-in-law, Linda Smith; brother-in-law, Norman Williams and his wife Karen; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebrations of Brenda’s life will be held Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 4:00PM at the Adairsville Church of God with Reverends Ken Coomer and Andrew Hight officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00PM until 4:00PM at the church.
