Carol Craig Bryson, age 87, of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at The Canopy at Boynton Ridge.
Carol was born on February 16, 1938, in Cartersville, GA, daughter of the late Theodore “Red” Craig and Marie Smith Craig. Carol was a devoted member of Belmont Baptist Church, where she founded and dedicated herself to the Belmont Baptist Kindergarten. She graduated with honors from Floyd College and Dalton College, earning her Registered Nursing Certification. Carol served as a NICU Registered Nurse at Hamilton Medical Center for over 40 years. She also participated in a medical mission trip to Africa and loved to travel.
Carol is survived by: her husband, Milton Bryson of Calhoun, GA; daughter, Jennifer Hughey and her husband Phillip of Chattanooga, TN; son, Jeffery “Jeff” Bryson; two grandchildren, Leah Ortiz and her husband Javi and Justin Shugart and his wife Savannah; and one great-grandchild, Mateo.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 1 PM until 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home
A Celebration of the life of Carol will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with family remembrances.
