Carolyn “Carol” Gentry Conley
September 17, 1949 — March 9, 2026

Carolyn “Carol” Gentry Conley, age 76 of Dalton, GA, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Hamilton Medical Center.

Carol was born on September 17, 1949 in Gordon County, GA, daughter of the late Jay Rural Gentry and Ruth Gazaway Gentry. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her husband, Dr. Richard Conley; and sister, Jerry Ruth Conley. Carol was a graduate of Calhoun High School Class of 1967. She then continued her education at Dalton Junior College where she earned her Associate’s Degree, Berry College where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree, and West Georgia College where she earned her Master’s Degree. Prior to her retirement, she worked alongside her husband, Dr. Richard Conley as the office manager.

Carol is survived by her sister, Brenda Gentry Thompson.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 11:30 AM until 2 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend George Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery.
