Carrie Kitchens Milam, age 59 of Adairsville, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
Carrie was born on December 14, 1965, in Athens, GA, daughter of Joe Kitchens and the late Gwen Burson Warmels. She earned her Registered Nursing Degree from Darton College. Carrie had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed tending to her flowers and planting in her yard. She also found joy in playing tennis, jet skiing, and taking spontaneous trips. Above all, Carrie dearly loved her grandchildren.
Carrie is survived by: her husband, Scott W. Milam; son, Michael (Melissa) Tye; daughter, Caroline Tye; her father, Joe (Karen) Kitchens; her extended family, Scott (Jessica) Milam, JR, Nathan (Stephanie) Milam, and Josh (Jordan) Milam; grandchildren, Laramie Tye, Mia Tyes, Jett Milam, Emery Milam, June Milam, and Ellie Milam; half-brother, Joe Kitchens; and half-sister, Mary (Brandon) Glausier.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 2 PM until 4 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
A celebration of the life of Carrie will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 4 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Marty Burson officiating.
