David Leon Winters
March 11, 1951 - May 31, 2025

Mr. David Leon Winters, known to most as Leon, age 74 of Adairsville, passed away May 31, 2025.  Leon was born in Fairmount, GA, March 11, 1951, son of the late Oscar Summerize and Clara Bell Moore Winters.

Leon was a beloved family man who cherished his wife, children, and grandchildren. He had a passion for football and wrestling and was known for his sense of humor, always cutting up and joking with everyone around him. Leon enjoyed spending time with his dear friend Jerry Henderson, creating lasting memories together.

Survivors include his loving wife Julie Ann Carson Winters; children, Jermaine “Neon” Winters, Davey Winters, Stephanie Winters, Palarreus Richards, and Tiffany Richards; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Morris; sisters, Jan Bryant, Elene Johnson, and Anaclair; 5 brothers-in-laws and 2 sisters-in-law; and host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Leon’s life will be held Monday June 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM from Friendship Baptist Church, 128 Martin Luther King Dr, Adairsville, with Willie Carson and Leola Wilkey officiating.
