Edward Eugene BaldwinAdairsville

Mr. Edward Eugene Baldwin, loving husband, father, and grandfather, of Adairsville went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, May 25, 2025.

Edward was born in Tennessee, February 28, 1936, son of the late Robert and Thelma Baldwin. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Kenneth Baldwin and Jimmy Darrell Baldwin; sister, Charlene Langley; brother, Bobby Baldwin and wife, Jean; sister-in-law, Cynthia Baldwin; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Bessie Benefield. He was a faithful member of Apostolic Tabernacle Church in Adairsville. Edward retired from the maintenance department with The Georgia Department of Transportation. Along with his wife and children, known as The Singing Baldwins, they produced many gospel albums and sang at numerous revivals and benefits. Edward had a witty personality and enjoyed talking and visiting with people.

Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Evialou Benefield Baldwin; son, Eddie Baldwin and wife Eteva; granddaughter, Dr. Nikki Baldwin Braddy and husband Chris; brother, Freddy Baldwin; sister, Martha Baldwin and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Reverends Tony Baldwin and Lee Garland officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery, Plainville. Pallbearers include Chris Braddy, John Locklear, Joseph Langley, Nicholas Edwards, Michael Baldwin and Jason Neal.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
