Helen Thomas Faw
May 20, 1927 — December 23, 2025

Helen Thomas Faw, age 98, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on December 23, 2025.

Born on May 20, 1927, in Dalton, Georgia, she is the daughter of the late RL "Beddie" Thomas and Kate Holtzclaw Thomas. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Faw, her nephew, Matt Reddick, and her cousin Terrell Holtzclaw.

Helen dedicated 45 years to the banking industry, most of them at the First National Bank of Dalton. She made history there as the institution's first female Vice-President, a role in which she earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike.

A woman of deep faith, Helen was an active member of Calhoun First Baptist Church, where she served faithfully and built lasting friendships. 

She is survived by her nephews, Tommy Reddick and his wife, Debbie, and Randy Reddick and his wife, Vivian.

Helen will lie in state at the church from noon until the time of the service.

Funeral services will be conducted at Calhoun First Baptist Church on Monday, December 29th, at 2:00 PM with Dr. John Barber and Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. With a private burial to follow.
