    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
John Nathan Rodgers
June 5, 1969 — June 4, 2025

John Nathan Rodgers, age 55 of Rome, GA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 in Jefferson, Indiana.

Nathan was born on June 5, 1969, son of the late Johnny Rodgers and Loyce Rodgers. Also, he was preceded in death by a son, Russell.  Nathan enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, and being on the open road. John loved his family.

Nathan is survived by his girl friend, Myranda Manning,  six daughters, Jennifer Rodgers, Amanda Rodgers,  Kristy Rodgers, Kimberly Rodgers, Diana and Stephanie; six sons, Stephen Rodgers, Johnathan Rodgers, Christopher Rodgers, Tyler Rodgers, David Rodgers, Matthew Rodgers; brothers, Wayne Rodgers, and Gene Rodgers; one sister, Sheryl Rodgers; several  grandchildren and great grandchildrern.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 13th at 2 pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. George Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery in Resaca, Georgia.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 10am until 2pm at the funeral home.
