Jonathan Taylor “Slim” Silvers

Jonathan Taylor “Slim” Silvers, age 29, of Oakman, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from injuries received in a work-related accident.

He was born on December 12, 1995, in Calhoun, Georgia, to Calvin and Stacy Ellis Silvers.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his companion of 7 years, Veronica Frances Waldon; sons, Petee (Haley) Waldon, David (Sky) Waldon; daughter, Kaitlynn (Colby) Newport; brother, Matthew (Sarah) Silvers; sister, Viola Williams Silvers; grandchildren, Briceson, Brantley, Amelia, Lillie, Marley, Brody, Wesson, Mollie, Cash, Sophia, Crue, and Luna; niece and nephews, Brynlee, Carter and Jasper.

He was employed with Capital Creek Truck Repair as a diesel mechanic. From a young age, his heart was set on this path, and he took great pride in fulfilling his lifelong dream of working in the trade he loved.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Stone and Rev. David Long officiating. Honorary pallbearers serving are Bill Stone, Chris Stone, David Stevens, Ernie Sexton, Petee Waldon, and David Waldon.
