Joyce Pearl Greene
July 31, 1940 — February 21, 2026

Mrs. Joyce Pearl Skipper Greene, age 85, of Ranger, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday morning, February 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on July 31, 1940, in Calhoun County, Florida, Joyce was the cherished daughter of the late Charlie Mack Skipper and Pearl Inez Warren Skipper. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Argel Greene; and her brothers, Ray Warren, Charles Skipper, Gerald and Diane Skipper, and Reginald Skipper; brother -in-law, Lucious Rushing; sisters-in-law, and Linda Skipper.

Throughout her life, Joyce embraced many meaningful roles. She was a Certified Medical Assistant and a proud member of the American Legion. She also earned a degree in Cosmetology from Chipola College in Marianna, Florida. Joyce was known for her strength, courage, and compassionate spirit. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She had a love for travel and treasured the memories made along the way, especially those shared with family.

Joyce is survived by her daughters, Lesa Greene of Athens, Alabama, and Lorie Moss and her husband, Garry, of Ranger, Georgia; her brothers, Tommy Skipper of Wewahitchka, Florida, and Johnny and Wanda Skipper of Broad Branch, Florida; sister, Evelyn Rushing of Ranger, GA.; sisters-in-law, Michelle Skipper of Broad Branch, FL. and Elizabeth Skipper Futch of Kinard, FL.; her beloved grandchildren, Ryan Heath Moss of Smyrna, Georgia, and Garry Kenneth Moss Jr. of Ringgold, Georgia, whom she adored beyond measure.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, Alabama.
