May 25, 1961 - July 27, 2025
Ms. Kimberly Bell Bunch, age 64, of Adairsville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2025, after a courageous three-year battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Kimberly was born on May 25, 1961, in Ooltewah, Tennessee, to Edgar Jacob Buckner and Mildred Lillian Godsey Buckner. She was a devoted mother, beloved Nana, loyal sister, loving aunt, and a deeply cherished friend. Known for her strength, warmth, and unwavering love, Kimberly was truly the glue that held her family together.
She spent many years working as a nurse at Gordon Health and Rehab, where her compassion, kindness, and dedication left a lasting impact on both patients and coworkers. Her legacy of generosity and care touched everyone she met.
Kimberly had a bright and vibrant spirit. She loved doing puzzles, traveling to the beach and mountains, going shopping, and simply enjoying any chance to go somewhere or do something new. Her energy and joy made even the simplest moments feel full of life and meaning.
She is survived by her daughters, Jessica Bunch (fiancé Wes Deputy) and Jordan Redd (husband Lee); her grandchildren, Mackinsey Bishop (fiancé Mason), Savannah Worthington (boyfriend Devin Myers), Kendall Worthington, Breckin Smith, Josie Deputy, Russ Redd, and Ruth Ann Redd; and her great-grandchildren, Isla Turley and Bennett Bishop.
She is also survived by her loving sister, Judy James (husband Richard); her brothers, Brian Buckner (wife Kim), Scott Buckner (wife Linda), Vaughn Buckner (wife Sharon), and Bud Buckner (wife Sharon); along with special nieces Katrina Wiggins, Tanya Colston, Allison Gilbert, and Misty Bell. Kimberly also remained close with her former mother-in-law, Elsie Bunch, and her dear friend, Jeff Rakestraw, both of whom held special places in her life. She is also survived by several other cherished nieces, nephews, and dear friends who loved her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her former husband Barry Bunch, her sister Rowena Buckner Ballengee, and her parents, Edgar and Mildred Buckner.
Kimberly’s presence lit up every room, and her love held her family through both the best and hardest times. She had an unbelievable ability to mold herself into exactly what each of her loved ones needed—whether it was comfort, laughter, guidance, or strength. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and the strength of her love will continue to carry her family forward.
A Celebration of Kim’s life will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
