    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Louise Estelle Towe, 81, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025. She was born in Calhoun, Georgia, on August 22, 1943, to the late R.W. and Lemma Louise Fowler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Towe; son, Vic Hobgood; brothers, Albert Fowler, R.W. Fowler, Jr; great-grandson, Gage Bohannon; father of her children, Harry Hobgood.

She is survived by her children, Robin (Bryan) Bohannon, Kerry (Natalie) Hobgood, Angie (Donny) Maness, Skylar (Josh) Williams, Robbie Towe; brother, Kenny Fowler; sister, Bertie Wilson; grandchildren, Felicia (Marshall), Hali (Jamie), Ashley, Molli (Nick), Karlie, Noah, J.J., Gregory (Shannon), Emily (Justin), Owen, Chaz (Amanda), Dustin, Brody; 25 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives also survive.

Estelle was everybody’s special person. She had a caring heart and would help anyone that needed it. She loved spending time with kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She was a seamstress for many years and enjoyed quilting.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Boone Ford Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 4:00 PM from Boone Ford Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Quarles officiating. A private family graveside service will be held at Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving are Josh Williams, Jamie Burns, Marshall Greeson, Gregory Dodd, Chaz Hobgood, Brody Maness, Justin Young, and Jeff Howard.

The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Louise Estelle Towe.
