    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
Mary Lynn Corby
June 26, 1943 — May 18, 2025

Mary Lynn Corby, 81, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. She was born on June 26, 1943, to the late Charles and Joyce Fairfax Corby. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sister-in-law, Peyton and Mary Corby, Bruce Corby; sisters and brother-in-law, Donna and Jim Barrett, Paula Corby.

Mary was a retired teacher from the Gordon County School System.

She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Randy Willis, Beth and Danny Hutton; and sister-in-law, Doris Corby. Several other relatives survive.

To honor her wishes, her body was cremated, and services will be announced at a later date.

The family request that  in lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to Gordon County Schools, 7300 Fairmount Highway SE, Calhoun, Georgia 30701; American Heart association, and Calhoun First Presbyterian Church, 829 Red Bud Road, Calhoun, Georgia 30701.
