February 14, 1952 - May 27, 2025
Nan Ailene Mann Harris, born on February 14, 1952, in Adairsville, Georgia, to the late Martha Anne (Dodd) and Rossette Ether Mann, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at 1:15 a.m. at Floyd Medical Center, with her loving family by her bedside. She now joins in rest her beloved sisters Lorri Mann and Judy Payton, and her brothers Ronnie Mann, Tommy Mann, and Richard Mann.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Tim Harris; daughters Beverly Edwards of Adairsville and Sande Edwards of Lawrenceville; son Ron Edwards of Athens; and bonus daughter Shacola Pinson of Rome. She was a proud grandmother to Daisee Davis and Alex Edwards, both of Adairsville, as well as bonus grandchildren Shemaiah, Gaven, and Kaven Pinson of Rome. She also leaves behind her sisters Jan Kirklen, Marsha Mann, and Ava Weaver, all of Adairsville, and Karen Mann of Carrollton, brothers Wayne Mann of North Carolina and Keith Mann of Virginia. A host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends will forever cherish her memory.
Nan had a deep and enduring faith. Since 1986, she faithfully attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and remained a devoted servant of Jehovah throughout her life.
She and her husband Tim shared a love for camping at Elkmont in Gatlinburg, TN, where she found joy and peace watching the deer and falling asleep beside the rushing waters. She loved visiting Cades Cove and walking through the beauty of creation. She had a special fondness for hummingbirds, whose visits always lifted her spirit. Nan also cherished simple pleasures, she never passed up a good deal at a yard sale or flea market, and she especially loved going on little adventures with her grandchildren Daisee and Alex, including visits to the old houses in Elkmont and meals at The Old Mill in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. These small moments and shared traditions reflected the quiet strength, joyful heart, and loving spirit that defined her life.
Nan was known not only for her warmth but also her sense of fun. She and her sisters loved to kick back with wine coolers, play music, deal out the cards, and enjoy each other’s company, just having a good time and making memories that would last a lifetime.
A memorial service will be held at the Adairsville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 1247 Hall Station Road, Adairsville, GA 30103, on June 7, 2025, at 1:00pm. Following the memorial, the family will gather at Earl Towe Community Center 218 North Main Street Adairsville, Ga 30103.
