It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James David Maddox (Stinger), age 66, of Kingston, GA. who departed this life on July 22, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones.

It is with deep sorrow and abiding faith in the promise of eternal life that we announce the passing of our beloved husband/father/grandfather, Terry Franklin Hicks, age 79, he went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and beloved friends. 

Mary Jean Casey, 83, of Fairmount, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

Teresa Ann Green, 70, of Sugar Valley, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

Doris Sue DeFoor, age 88 of Calhoun, GA, passed peacefully on July 16, 2025 after declining health.

Mr. Merriel C Landrum, Jr., age 87, of 111 Wilson Street, Adairsville, passed away Wednesday July 9, 2025, at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center, Rome.

Mrs. Wanda Gail Rickett, 84, of Calhoun, Georgia departed her earthly life and entered the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, July 15th at her residence with her loving family by her bedside.

Kenneth Allen Prather departed his earthly life on July 14, 2025. He was born March 24, 1940, to Charlie & Opal Clark Prather, who preceded him in death, along with his sister, Ouida Prather Phipps, and brothers Buck & Jimmy Prather.
