Sara Mae Holden Kinsey
January 22, 1938 — December 20, 2025

Sara Mae (Holden) Kinsey, 87, of Calhoun, Georgia, walked through the gates of heaven into the hands of God peacefully on December 20, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Calhoun, Georgia, on January 22, 1938, to the late Roy Woodrow Holden and Lovell Crump Holden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Kaye Kinsey, sons-in-law Bobby Wayne Posey and Tommy Tow; brothers and sisters, Woodrow Holden, Billy Holden, Robert Holden, Walter Holden, Ronnie Holden, Betty German, and Dianne Holden.

She is survived by her children, Linda Sue Posey, Charsie Faye (Eddie) Smith, Judy Mae Tow, Kathy Carol (Jerry) Pell, Sendy Jane (David) Stewart, James Willis, Jr. (Kathy) Bohannon, Roy Lee (Elysia) Kinsey, Kenneth Lamar Kinsey, Sarah Ellen Kinsey and Marvin Shane Kinsey—twenty-four grandchildren, several great and great-great-grandchildren; brother Donnie Holden.

She was known for her loving nature, generous heart and special love for her family. She loved everyone she met, and most called her Mom. She retired from Harbinson Walker after 20-plus years. She was off the Christian faith iand a Baptist.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are her grandsons.

The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Sara Mae (Holden) Kinsey.
