    THREATS
    Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph likely, Downbursts capable of damaging winds will be possible
    SITUATION
    Intensifying thunderstorm development is expected the remainder of the afternoon, influenced by a remnant convective cluster/MCV and its enhanced winds aloft, orographic/mountain influences, and a very moist environment. Downbursts capable of damaging winds will be possible, particularly late this afternoon through early evening. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 95 statute miles east and west of a line from 20 miles northeast of Dublin VA to 25 miles southeast of Chattanooga TN.     PRECAUTIONS
    A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce tornadoes.
