Early Voting Underway in Gordon County

Early voting for the Nov. 4 General Municipal Elections in Calhoun and Fairmount — plus countywide referendums — began today and runs through Friday, Oct. 31. Voting is open Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m., with Saturday voting on Oct. 18 and Oct. 25 from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. at the Gordon County Board of Elections Office, 100 S. Wall Street, Calhoun.


AdventHealth Gordon Offers Free Lung Cancer Screenings

AdventHealth Gordon will host free lung cancer screenings on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the AdventHealth Harris Radiation Therapy Center. The event serves uninsured adults ages 50–77 with a 20-pack-year smoking history who currently smoke or quit within the past 15 years. Advance registration is required. The hospital is an ACR-designated Lung Cancer Screening Center, emphasizing early detection and improved survival rates.
