The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents of an ongoing phone scam involving callers impersonating law enforcement and falsely claiming recipients have active warrants, stressing that authorities never serve warrants or collect bail payments by phone and urging the public to hang up immediately.
Calhoun is gearing up for the 2nd Annual Morning Pointe Foundation “Pickleball for a Purpose” Scholarship Showdown on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Pickleball 706, bringing together players of all skill levels to raise funds for nursing, therapy, and culinary student scholarships across the Southeast.
On the gridiron this Friday night, the Gordon Central Warriors hit the road to face the Armuchee Indians, the Calhoun Yellow Jackets travel to take on Heritage, the Sonoraville Phoenix host Union County for Senior Night, and the Adairsville Tigers travel to Gilmer County.
