A fatal commercial accident occurred Thursday at a business on State Route 136 in the Nickelsville community, according to the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies, Fire/Rescue personnel, and the Gordon County Coroner’s Office responded and confirmed that one individual was found deceased. Authorities say no foul play is suspected, and the Coroner’s Office is leading the investigation. No additional information has been released pending notification of next of kin.
The Calhoun Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of stealing more than $1,000 in merchandise from the Ulta Beauty store on Highway 53. Police say the individual entered the store around 12:30 p.m. on November 12 and left with multiple unpaid items.
