Fatal Crash on Highway 411 in Bartow County
One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Highway 411 in the Fairmount area, according to the Georgia State Patrol. Investigators say a Ford pickup crossed into the southbound lane and struck a tractor-trailer head-on, causing the truck to overturn and spill a load of milk across the roadway. A Cadillac traveling north attempted to avoid the crash but was struck by the falling trailer. The pickup driver died at the scene, the tractor-trailer driver suffered a leg injury, and the Cadillac driver was not hurt. The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is assisting with the investigation.
