Ranger Community Center Opens with New Playground
Ranger residents now have a modern space to gather with the official opening of the newly constructed Ranger Community Center and adjacent playground. The new facility replaces the nearly century-old schoolhouse that previously served as the center, offering a 900-square-foot central gathering area, restrooms, and a kitchenette for meetings, events, and community programs. The Gordon County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the center’s debut with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 21. Across the street, children can enjoy a safe, updated playground, giving families another much-needed amenity in the community.

New Pickleball Courts Open in Adairsville
Adairsville residents received a festive holiday treat this weekend with the opening of six brand-new pickleball courts on Legacy Way. The ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday brought together city and county leaders who hailed the project as a collaborative effort to expand recreational opportunities. Pickleball, one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports, is now accessible to community members of all ages, who are encouraged to visit the facility, grab a paddle, and enjoy the new courts just in time for the holiday season.

VAC Seeks Sponsors for Operation Happy Christmas

Individuals, families, businesses, and church groups are encouraged to get involved and make a meaningful impact. To sponsor a child, call the VAC at 706-629-7283 or visit their office at 343 South Wall Street in Calhoun.
