Gordon County Burn Ban Lifted
Effective today, October 1, the seasonal outdoor burn ban has been lifted for Gordon County. Residents may now burn hand-piled natural vegetation such as leaves, limbs, and yard debris without a permit. Agricultural or machine-piled burns still require a permit through the Georgia Forestry Commission. Fire officials remind residents to exercise caution, never leave fires unattended, and ensure ashes are fully extinguished.
