    This Friday afternoon and evening from 535 PM until 1100 PM EDT.
    THREATS
    Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible, Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
    SITUATION
    Clusters of storms will spread eastward from northern Alabama into northwest Georgia through late evening with the potential to produce occasional damaging gusts up to 65 mph and large hail up to 1.5 inches in diameter.The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35 statute miles east and west of a line from 45 miles north northeast of Rome GA to 30 miles southeast of Rome GA.     PRECAUTIONS
    A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce tornadoes.

Last night the Atlanta Braves fell to the Toronto Blue Jays 6–3, evening the series at one game apiece. Kevin Gausman led the Jays with six strikeouts over six innings, while Anthony Santander’s three-run homer in the fifth inning proved decisive. The Braves’ offense featured solo home runs from Austin Riley, Matt Olson, and Ozzie Albies, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win.

Looking ahead, the Braves aim to bounce back in the series finale today. First pitch is scheduled for 1:07 PM Eastern . Spencer Strider will make his much-anticipated season debut for Atlanta after recovering from a right elbow injury.
