Happening today, the City of Calhoun Council work session is at noon.  Tonight, the regular meeting will begin at 7 p.m. – it’s the first reading of the budget, a recommendation to make Colbert (Calvary) Cemetery a historic location, and several zoning hearings. Agenda can be found here.  Resaca also has the budget on their agenda for the 7:00 p.m. meeting at the Town Hall.

A 4.1 earthquake in Tennessee on Saturday was felt all the way to Metro Atlanta, including Gordon County, but no significant damage or injuries were reported.  Good news.

May 19th – that’s next Monday – graduating seniors can meet with prospective employers at Georgia Northwestern Technical College from 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

The VAC needs chips, fruit packs, and snack foods. They serve 27,000 hot meals a year and help thousands of area families.
