Statement from Gordon County Coroner, Nick Blalock: “The Gordon County Coroner’s Office can confirm that William West, 50, of Lafayette, Georgia, and Christopher Powell, 23, of Okeechobee, Florida, succumbed to injuries received in the early morning wreck on May 13, 2025, on I-75 South near Exit 306. A third individual also received fatal injuries. Their identification is pending the notification of their immediate family,” said Blalock.
“The Gordon County Coroner’s Office will continue to support the Georgia State Patrol as the investigation continues.”
