NWS Weekend Weather Report: Our next risk for severe weather (and rain) is from late Friday night through Saturday. We could see an initial line of strong to severe storms move into far NW Georgia after midnight Friday night, weakening as it moves through north Georgia by Saturday morning. Another round of storms may develop across the area on Saturday afternoon and evening. There is still a lot of uncertainty in the overall threat at this time, but damaging winds, large hail, and a brief tornado would be possible if conditions materialize.
