ADAIRSVILLE — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 75 northbound near mile marker 305 Sunday morning, according to preliminary findings from the Georgia State Patrol.
The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on July 13, 2025. Investigators say the motorcycle was traveling in the middle northbound lane when the rider lost control. The motorcycle overturned, ejecting the driver onto the roadway.
The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for treatment.
As a result of the crash and airlift response, I-75 Northbound was temporarily closed for approximately 45 minutes.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
