Two Charged in Baker Circle Shooting; Victim Released from Hospital

Two individuals have been charged following a बुधवार afternoon shooting on Baker Circle, according to the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say Anthony P. Hall, 21, of Calhoun, and Donavan Downey, 23, of Calhoun, were each charged with one count of misdemeanor reckless conduct in connection with the incident. Investigators do not believe the shooting was a malicious act. The victim has since been treated and released from the hospital.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, when deputies responded to a report of a man who had been shot at a private residence off Dews Pond Road. Upon arrival, deputies provided first aid before the victim was airlifted to a hospital for further treatment.

Deputies quickly identified the source of the gunfire and detained one individual at the scene. Detectives collected evidence, interviewed witnesses, and recovered the firearm believed to have been used.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing, but no additional suspects are being sought at this time.
