The annual BBQ & Boogie Festival continues today in downtown Calhoun, with organizers promising a full day of entertainment, food, and family-friendly fun—rain or shine.

Festivalgoers are encouraged to stop by and visit Georgia 101.7, where Brent and Brandi will be on-site with giveaways through 1 p.m. Attendees who swing by early may also get an exclusive first chance to sign up for a special Great Smoky Mountain vacation giveaway.

The prize package includes a weekend stay for four people in the Great Smoky Mountains on June 5–6, courtesy of Great Smoky Mountain Cabin Rentals, along with four passes to Dollywood for a day at the popular theme park.

Day two of the festival features a wide variety of attractions, including live music throughout the day, more than 100 food and retail vendors, and cold beer stations. Families can also enjoy the Kids Zone, along with new additions like a 9-hole mini golf course. Pickleball also returns this year, with Pickleball 706 partnering with Downtown Calhoun to set up courts for festival attendees.

Drivers should be aware of road closures in the downtown area throughout the day. Streets impacted include Court Street, South King Street, North Park Avenue, South Park Avenue, and Oothcalooga Street.

Organizers say the event offers something for everyone and encourage the community to come out and enjoy one of Calhoun’s biggest annual celebrations.
