Calhoun Fire Department Completes Three-Day Elevator Rescue Training at Calhoun High School

The Calhoun Fire Department recently completed three days of specialized elevator rescue training designed to prepare firefighters for emergencies involving stalled elevators.

The training, held at Calhoun High School, combined classroom instruction with hands-on rescue exercises, allowing firefighters to practice the techniques and procedures used to safely remove passengers who may become trapped inside an elevator.

According to the department, the training is part of its ongoing commitment to ensuring firefighters are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively to a wide range of emergency situations.
