The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged assault that occurred Wednesday afternoon at a private residence in Plainville.
According to the sheriff’s office, one person was seriously injured and was transported from the scene by air ambulance for medical treatment.
Authorities said one other person has been detained in connection with the incident. Investigators emphasized that there is no one at large and that there is no danger to the public.
The investigation remains active, and officials say additional information will be released as it becomes available.
