The Atlanta Braves return to Truist Park Monday night for the beginning of a three-game series against the New York Mets as the Braves continue their push through the second half of the season.
Atlanta heads into the series with a 71-47 overall record and has been especially strong at home this year. The Braves are 39-20 at Truist Park entering Monday night’s matchup and will look to continue that success against their National League East rival.
The Mets arrive in Atlanta with a 52-67 overall record and a 27-33 mark away from home. New York will be looking to turn things around on the road, while Atlanta will try to take care of business at home and begin the three-game series with a win.
As the calendar moves further into August, the Braves are entering an important stretch of the season. Opportunities to pick up wins at home will become increasingly valuable as Atlanta looks to remain in a strong position heading toward the final weeks of the regular season.
Monday night will be the first of three straight meetings between the Braves and Mets at Truist Park. First pitch for the series opener is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
