New Foundations Development, Inc. is inviting the community to a Housing Resource Fair on Saturday, October 3, at Crane Eater Community Church in Calhoun.
The event will run from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at 3168 Red Bud Road NE and is open to everyone.
The fair will provide information and resources for both home buyers and sellers. Attendees can learn about the Georgia Dream Down Payment Assistance program, which offers up to $10,000 in down payment assistance, as well as special programs available for teachers, firefighters, first responders and law enforcement.
Information will also be available on property taxes and homestead exemptions, fire safety, avoiding problems with contractors, what homeowners insurance actually covers, and programs offering free home repairs of up to $50,000.
