The Gordon County Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) is asking the community to help spread some Christmas cheer to local children in foster care this holiday season.
The agency is seeking individuals, families, churches, businesses, and community organizations willing to sponsor a child and help make Christmas a memorable occasion for children who may be facing difficult circumstances.
Through the Christmas sponsorship program, community members can request a child’s Christmas wish list and help provide gifts to make the holiday season brighter.
Gordon County DFCS hopes the generosity of local residents and organizations will help ensure children in foster care experience the joy and excitement of Christmas.
Those interested in sponsoring a child can contact Jody Sanderson with Gordon County DFCS to request a child’s Christmas list and learn more about participating.

Gordon County DFCS hopes the community will come together to help make the holiday season special for every child in its foster care program.
