One of college football’s biggest rivalries takes center stage Saturday afternoon as the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs square off against the No. 17 Florida Gators in a Southeastern Conference showdown.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, October 31, with live coverage on Georgia 101.7 FM WJTH.
Georgia enters the contest with a 6-1 overall record and a 4-1 mark in SEC play. The Bulldogs are looking to continue their push toward the SEC Championship Game and strengthen their position in the national championship race.
Florida comes into the matchup at 5-2 overall and 3-2 in conference play. The Gators will be looking to pull off an upset against their longtime rivals and improve their standing in the SEC.
This year’s rivalry will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta instead of its traditional Jacksonville location because of stadium construction.
The annual Georgia-Florida rivalry is one of the most anticipated games on the college football calendar, with bragging rights and conference championship implications often on the line.
Georgia won last year’s meeting 24-20 and leads the all-time series 58-44-2.
For Georgia, a victory would provide another important conference win as the Bulldogs enter the final stretch of the regular season. Florida, meanwhile, has an opportunity to make a major statement by knocking off one of the nation’s highest-ranked teams.
Bulldog fans across Northwest Georgia can catch all the action Saturday afternoon on Georgia 101.7 FM WJTH, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Eastern.
