Recovery Gordon is officially operating from a new home in Calhoun following a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the organization’s new office.
The Gordon County Chamber of Commerce held the ribbon cutting Thursday, Sept. 17, at Recovery Gordon’s new location at 654 Red Bud Road, Suite 4.
Recovery Gordon is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of community members whose lives have been affected by addiction. The organization provides support for people seeking recovery or currently in recovery, along with their friends and family members.
The organization began as an extension of Recovery Bartow and has a mission to save lives, support families and help end the stigma surrounding addiction. Recovery Gordon says its goal is to help build a community where the hope and reality of recovery are recognized and celebrated.
Services offered through Recovery Gordon include support group meetings, one-on-one peer support, Narcan and overdose education, connections to treatment and detox programs, and jail and reentry support.
The opening of the new Calhoun office gives Recovery Gordon a dedicated location to continue connecting people affected by addiction with resources, education and recovery support throughout the community.
