The EPA’s emergency decision to allow an early transition to cheaper, butane-heavy winter-blend gasoline aims to expand supply and ease pump prices, but those expected consumer savings are already being offset by surging global crude oil prices that rose again today amid escalating war risks and conflict in Iran.

Calhoun High School AP Scholars
Calhoun High School is recognizing 52 students who earned AP Scholar distinctions from the College Board for their academic performance on 2026 Advanced Placement exams.
During the 2025–2026 school year, 173 CHS students completed 245 AP exams across 17 subjects, with 71% earning a qualifying score of 3 or higher to maintain the school’s strong year-over-year academic performance.
