The Gordon Central High School football team received a spirited send-off today as they departed for Jasper County to compete in tonight’s state playoff game. Students, staff, families, and fans from both Gordon Central High School and Ashworth Middle School lined Warrior Path, creating a festive atmosphere of cheers, signs, and school pride.
Adding to the excitement, the Gordon County Sheriff’s Department and Gordon County Fire Department provided a special escort for the team bus as it made its way out of town, honoring the Warriors on their playoff journey.
Community members are encouraged to continue showing their support from home or in the stands.
