Murray County Commissioner Noah Bishop is calling a public meeting tonight to discuss a proposed food and agricultural waste processing facility by Vanguard Renewables. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Murray County Recreation Department.
The facility is planned for the west side of Highway 411, just across the Gordon-Murray county line near Oakman. Vanguard Renewables’ project has drawn concern from many local residents, who cite potential pollution, environmental risks, and the possibility of reduced property values if the facility is built.
U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has confirmed she will attend the meeting, underscoring the growing attention to the project.
Commissioner Bishop said the public meeting is intended to provide residents with information about the facility and an opportunity to voice their opinions.
Residents interested in the project are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussion.
