Gordon County Fire Rescue is now accepting applications for recruit firefighters, with the hiring window open from February 5 through March 20.
The department is offering a starting salary of $46,328 per year, along with a competitive benefits package that includes 10 paid holidays annually, overtime opportunities, and a defined benefit retirement plan.
Selected applicants will participate in an in-house recruit class, where they will graduate with NPQ1 certification as well as Hazmat Awareness and Hazmat Operations credentials.
Gordon County Fire Rescue, established in 1965, serves communities across the county with fire suppression, emergency response, and rescue services.
