CALHOUN’S RANDY PEREZ AGUILAR HONORED BY U.S. MARINE CORPS

U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Randy E. Perez Aguilar, an aviation ordnance systems technician assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron (H&HS) at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, has been named the MCAS New River Go-Getter of the Month for February 2026.

A native of Calhoun, Georgia, Perez Aguilar enlisted in the Marine Corps on Sept. 19, 2022, driven by a personal commitment to self-improvement and a desire to serve in a military branch known for its core values of honor, courage, and commitment. He described his decision to join the Marines as self-motivated, focusing on both personal and professional development.

Since joining his unit nearly three years ago, Perez Aguilar has taken on the role of quality assurance (QA) safety observer within H&HS at MCAS New River. In this position, he oversees ordnance operations to ensure they are conducted safely and in accordance with technical publications and established military standards.

Throughout his service with H&HS, Perez Aguilar has worked to strengthen his technical skills while helping reinforce safety, accountability, and operational standards among the Marines he serves alongside each day.
