Motorists traveling along U.S. Highway 41 should prepare for a road closure and detour beginning Monday as crews carry out roadway repairs.
Weather permitting, crews will repair a portion of the roadway at the intersection of U.S. 41 and East Line Street on Monday, September 28.
The work will require U.S. 41 to be closed between East Line Street and State Route 156 beginning at 9 a.m. Monday. The closure is expected to remain in place overnight, with the roadway scheduled to reopen by 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 29.
A detour will be in place while the work is underway.
Motorists traveling north on U.S. 41 will turn left onto East Line Street and then take the SR 136 Connector north to C.L. Morris Parkway. Drivers will then turn right onto SR 156 before traveling north to reconnect with U.S. 41.
Drivers traveling through the area should allow additional time for their trips and expect delays while the closure is in effect.
Motorists are also urged to use caution, watch for workers and equipment, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
