GNTC Seeking Basic Law Enforcement Academy Instructor/Records Coordinator in Gordon County

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is accepting applications for a Basic Law Enforcement Academy Instructor/Records Coordinator position based at the Gordon County Campus.

The position serves as the coordinator and Georgia P.O.S.T. liaison for the Law Enforcement Academy, handling administrative duties while also assisting with instruction as needed. The successful candidate may be required to travel to other GNTC campuses to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities include maintaining academy records and certification requirements, preparing reports and documentation, developing lesson plans, instructing students, evaluating student progress, ensuring safety and security standards are met, assisting with recruitment and retention efforts, and supporting academy operations.

Applicants must have either:
• A bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field and six years of civilian law enforcement experience within the past 15 years, including four years in a patrol division or equivalent; or
• An associate degree (or equivalent credit hours) and 10 years of civilian law enforcement experience within the past 15 years, including six years in a patrol division or equivalent.

The salary range is $57,000 to $59,000 annually.
